Ignore the bad reviews. This place is very good, they cook the food from scratch and it is very welcoming.

You want vegan, go eat in the grass with the rest of the animals

Came here yesterday for lunch and got take out but ate inside.. This is probably the worst chinese food I've had, with some items being somewhat good.. But I will not be returning.. Some reviewer mentioned they potentially might be using minute rice and that could be exactly It! Chinese people, I personaloy find are perfectionist at making rice, but its absurd, the Gunk they serve you and expect to eat? Yuck! Here is what I ordered:

Seafood in garlic sauce - The sauce it was in was very tasty and flavorful but imitation crab meat? Sorry, just no.. The shrimp and broccoli was good in it though, but still.. I wish some people would mention, that they are using imitation anything in the food because not everyone is aware, I should of asked, just to be on the safe side! Ugh..

Chicken Wings - It was okay but I ended up putting soya sauce on the chicken wings and I never had to do that anywhere else? They were very crispy but somewhat bland? Yeah.. I won't be back here..

Yang Chow Fried Rice - My favorite rice to order from Chinese restaurants but this was literally GUNK and yellow with barely any flavor it was very oily and oily tasting and I ended up throwing the whole thing in the garbage (What a waste).. Reason for the 2 stars is because I enjoyed the taste of the garlic sauce, that came with the seafood, that was literally it and my pop was Warm! I don't recommend this place and I'll never come back.

Use to be imperial.  New name and management has brought with it new inferior food. Bad flavor, grizzly chicken balls, yuck! We will never return.

We had issues with the previous Thai place here so we were hoping this would be better.
Being vegans we ordered a selection of 5 vegetable dishes and got clarity that no egg was used in any of these.  Our order was to be ready in10 minutes which shocked me as I was worried we were getting buffet style food.  I arrived at the ten minute mark and ended up waiting another 15 which is the time I would have expected.  The place had 2 others waiting and with outdoor temperature being -10c I figured they must be heating the place with the stoves and fryers as the kitchen staff were wearing coats.  The order was received complete temperature after the 10 minute drive home required some microwaving to make it hot.
In summary taste and appearance was average at best beats out a freezer food entre.

It's mostly a take away so don't expect ambiance. There are cheap lunch specials until 3 and the combination plates are around $8.50. I got a combo consisting of chicken fried rice, an egg roll, sweet and sour chicken, and lemon chicken. The food was served in take out containers. The sauces were brought in foam cups and were cold, not warm. The chicken in the rice was full of gristle and unchewable bits. The rice was very lightly seasoned and required extra soy sauce. It was more of a yellow color than most fried rice in Canada. It has the look and texture of minute rice, not regular long grain rice. I'm not sure if it was actually minute rice or if there was a flaw in the cooking process of real rice that just destroyed it. The sweet and sour chicken was tender and juicy and the breading was light and airy. It was my favorite part of the meal. The sauce, while cold, had an interesting ginger kick I'm not used to. It was a nice surprise. The lemon chicken portion was small. The meat was very thin and dry. The lemon sauce needed corn starch as it was like lemon water, not thick enough to cling to the meat. I don't think I'd go back.
